Catapults found in Ford Focus in Cranbrook by police investigating criminal damage reports

Police investigating reports of catapult attacks have seized two cars.

Officers from Tunbridge Well’s Neighbourhood Task Force spotted a Ford Focus and a Honda CRV avoiding patrols in Frythe Way, in Cranbrook as they responded to calls about anti-social behaviour in the Tunbridge Wells area last Thursday (July 13).

The vehicles were later found nearby and seized as they were uninsured. The constables also recovered catapults from inside the Focus.

Sgt Ed Kavanagh rom Kent Police said: “Residents have raised concerns about anti-social behaviour in the rural areas of Tunbridge Wells and these vehicles have been seized while we try to identify those who have been using them.

“They will also be investigated in connection with reports of criminal damage using catapults.”

He added:“If the owners wish to contact us to reclaim the vehicles and assist with our enquiries, we will be pleased to discuss the matter.”
