Man arrested and cocaine seized from sock after police stop car in Pembury Road, Tunbridge Wells

A suspected drug dealer has been arrested after drugs were found inside a sock.

A 25-year-old man was stopped by police patrols in Pembury Road, Tunbridge Wells after the manner of his driving caught their attention.

Constables from Kent Police’s proactive yargeting team spotted a car travelling erratically at around 5.15pm yesterday.

After bringing the car to a stop, they detained the driver for a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They recovered a quantity of suspected cocaine inside a sock and a mobile phone.

The driver, from Battersea in London was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and driving without insurance, and was taken into custody.
