Two men have been arrested after imitation grenades were found in a property.
Residents in Westgate Bay Avenue in Westgate were evacuated from their homes yesterday and the road cordoned off by police as experts from the Ministry of Defence Ordnance Disposal Unit assessed two objects that had been found.
Officers stood guard as investigations were carried out.
A police spokesman said the objects were later confirmed to be imitation grenades.
"Two men have been arrested in relation to the investigation and remain in custody while inquiries continue," he added.
