Jeepers creepers! Meet the supersized creepy-crawly who seems to have munched his way through a few too many lettuces.
Paul Dunne stumbled across the giant caterpillar as it crawled its way through his garden in Broadstairs.
The odd-looking bug is almost 10cm long - nearly double the size of some similar insects.
Mr Dunne, who lives in Belvedere Road, said: "I've never seen anything like this before. It could have hatched from larvae from a moth or a butterfly that was blown over from Africa, although I can't be sure."
He added: "My grand daughter has given the caterpillar an Irish name - Aisling [meaning 'vision' or 'dream']."
