Grove Park Primary School has some top golfers in the making.
The Year 3 and 4 pupils took part in the Tri-Golf Tournament at the Sittingbourne Community College and walked away winners.
They beat 11 other local schools and was only the second time they’d entered the competition which consisted of 12 activities designed to challenge the putting and chipping skills of the children. Last year they finished in second place. Julie Brown, head of PE at the school in Hilton Drive, said: “We are thrilled at winning the tournament, the children showed great team work and enthusiasm during the competition.
“They believed they would win from the beginning and their positive attitude paid off, we are very proud of their efforts.”
