The Dogs Trust visits Asda, Mill Way, Sittingbourne, in fundraising effort

The Dogs Trust’s dogmobile raised £148.93 during a meet and greet session held at Asda, Mill Way, Sittingbourne.

As well as bringing dogs from its Canterbury centre, which are all looking for new homes, experts offered advice on finding pets and about the various ways people can support the charity.

The team also handed out more than 60 leaflets about its work on Wednesday and Thursday last week.

Manager Cathy Walter said: “It was a great success. It was amazing to see so many supporters taking the time to talk to staff about the work of Dogs Trust and meet some of our four-legged friends.

“The money we raised will go towards caring for the dogs at all 18 rehoming centres.

“We are also very grateful to all Asda customers who kindly donated plenty of dog food and treats to keep our dogs happy. It was a fantastic event and we really hope to be back in the near future.”

Anyone interested in rehoming a dog is asked to contact Dogs Trust Canterbury on 01227 792505 or visit the centre at Radfall Road, Chestfield, near Whitstable, Kent, CT5 3ER.
