Police have arrested two men in Sevenoaks, including one who was caught on the tracks at Bat and Ball railway station.
Sniffer dogs and a helicopter was scrambled and a police chase ensued after officers received a report of a stolen van at around 1.42pm today.
One man was arrested on suspicion of theft near Golding Road and the second was arrested next to a nearby railway line with the assistance of the British Transport Police.
Both remain in police custody while the investigation is ongoing.
Trains were temporarily suspended as a result of the disruption between Otford and Maidstone East but have since been resumed.
