CANTERBURY computer firm ADM Computing has launched an appeal for old IT equipment so it can be recycled and passed to charities and community groups.

The latest charity to benefit is the KM Walking Bus Project which has received a PC for one of its staff to use at its offices in Beer Cart Lane, Canterbury.

Linda Sinclair, a director at ADM Computing said: "I would ask organisations thinking of upgrading existing equipment, to please remember our computer recycling programme when it comes to disposing of their old IT equipment. Supplies of second user PCs are extremely low due to high demand, although we would wish to thank one of our customers in particular, Moss Rid UK Ltd of Bekesbourne who recently saved the day by offering no less than five PCs for recycling."

ADM Computing wipe old PCs of data, clean, upgrade where necessary and test them before passing them onto Kent charities, schools or any other similar organisation who may have such a need. Along with the PC ADM Computing also donate a monitor, keyboard, mouse and as the firm is an authorised Microsoft refurbisher, it can even supply a Microsoft operating system for a nominal charge.

The minimum specification needed for donated PCs is: P4, 1Ghz or above; monitors: 17inch or above; printers: no more than three years old. For details contact ADM Computing on 01227 473500.
