Gillingham fans can watch Crawley Town match for just ยฃ1 next month as bosses look to pack Priestfield for crunch relegation battle

Gillingham fans are able to โ€œpay what they canโ€ at Priestfield during a match next month.

The Gills host Crawley Town in what is set to be a crucial game in the clubโ€™s fight for Football League survival and they are hoping a big home crowd can help their chances.

New owner Brad Galinson was there last Saturday to see a packed Priestfield Stadium for the visit of Leicester City in the FA Cup. The ticket initiative for Februaryโ€™s game will ensure another busy day at ME7.

Club owner Brad Galinson is keen to build strong links with the community and in a message to supporters, he said: โ€œWeโ€™re here for the fans - itโ€™s the fans that fund every part of the business - itโ€™s who we work for.

โ€œThis community, this club, itโ€™s a sleeping giant, itโ€™s the raw potential and the passion of the fans that showed me that if you put a little bit of resources and a little bit of capital in, it can really be back to what it was.

โ€œWe are serious abut standing behind the fans and we need you to stand behind us, to make sure we pack Priestfield again.โ€

Tickets are available online and can be purchased from just ยฃ1, up to ยฃ30. Under-14s can still go free with a paying adult.

A Gills statement said: โ€œAs the second half of the season gathers pace we are looking to make Priestfield a fortress once again and, to help do so, we have put in place an exciting ticket offer for the Gills community.

โ€œSupporters will be able to purchase tickets for as little as ยฃ1 as Neil Harris' side go in search of three very important points against a Crawley side who sit just above the relegation places in Sky Bet League 2.

โ€œHelp us to #PackPriestfield and get ME7 rocking in our new era under new owners Brad and Shannon Galinson.โ€

Gillingham are six points from safety at the halfway stage of their season but have games in hand over the teams above them and new signings already confirmed ahead of their second half of the campaign, thanks to the takeover by the Galinsons.

Striker Tom Nichols - who signed from Crawley - and midfielder Timothee Dieng have both joined for undisclosed fees and could make their debuts this Saturday against second from bottom Hartlepool United.
