It was a night to remember for real ale drinkers as the ninth Medway Beer Festival got under way.

Night to Remember was one of the beers on offer along with Anchor and Captain Smith - all beers linked with the Titanic.

The three-day festival will see 50 different beers, 40 ciders and perrys, and a similar number of Belgian beers being consumed in the Stanley Ballroom, in Gundulph Road, Chatham.

Organiser John Brice, from the King George V pub, in Brompton said the event would open at 11am on Friday and Saturday.
