A man was taken to hospital after being assaulted by a gang of men during a burglary.

Police say they were called to a burglary at an address in Gordon Road, Gillingham at 5.34am today.

An occupant of the house was assaulted by a group of men, who then left, and the victim was taken to Medway hospital with a leg injury.

Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and officers are keen to speak with anyone who they believe has information which can be of assistance.
