Are you queen of the quizzes or a king of knowledge?

Then the Medway Messenger Three Peaks Quiz Night is the event for you.

Reporters Jenni Horn, Keyan Milanian and Sarah Shaffi will be climbing Britain’s three highest mountains in just 24 hours in aid of CPC Kent, which works with people with cerebral palsy.

As part of their efforts to raise £1,500 for the charity the trio are hosting a quiz night on Thursday, April 15, at the University of Kent at Medway.

The university has donated the use of the Rochester Building to the group for free, so now all that is needed is quiz enthusiasts to take part.

Teams can be of up to eight and places cost £6 per person, which includes food. There will be a bar open on the night.

Prizes are being provided by local businesses and there will also be a raffle running on the night.

Keyan said: “A big thanks must first go to everyone who has donated to our cause so far, the generosity shown by our friends, family and readers has been fantastic.

“We are already more than halfway to our target of £1,500 and are hoping the quiz night will be a fun way for us to boost those funds.”

The team of reporters will have to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in just one day. Their journey starts at 6am on Saturday, May 8, with Ben Nevis in Scotland. Second on the list is Scafell Pike in Cumbria and the challenge will end at 5am on Saturday, May 9, at Snowdon.

CPC Kent runs the Smiley Steps Centre in Cliffe, which has to raise £300,000 a year to keep going.

The centre is funded completely through voluntary donations and fundraising events like the Three Peaks Challenge.
