Four people escape serious injury when car overturned near Medway Tunnel

Four people escaped with only minor injuries after the car they were travelling in overturned.

The accident happened near the Medway Tunnel in Strood, at 3pm today.

The Nissan 4x4, which was travelling towards Wainscott, clipped the kerb on the roundabout in Vanguard Way, rolled and landed on its side.

The driver and three passengers suffered minor injuries. All four were able to get out of the car before the emergency services arrived.

Police, paramedics and a crew from Strood fire station were on the scene.

The road was closed for a short time, causing some traffic delays.
