Invicta Dynamos made home advantage count and took a step closer to the ENIHL Division 1 South title after beating Bracknell Hornets 4-2.

The Mos had lost twice in Bracknell this season but gained revenge on Sunday night at the Gillingham Ice Bowl.

With four games left to play of the regular season the Mos sit four points clear at the top of the table and are unlikely to be caught. Just one more point is needed to claim the championship.

Dynamos’ win also ended Bracknell’s faint hopes of making a challenge for the title, leaving only Cardiff in the hunt.

Andy Smith put the Mos one ahead and four minutes later the lead was doubled through Elliot Andrews and a Smith assist.

With five minutes remaining of the first period the hosts went three ahead through Nicky Lewis.

The best action of the second period was saved for the latter stages. Anthony Leone scored for the first time since making a return to the Mos but Bracknell pulled one back before the break.

Netminder Joe White was beaten again in the third but the home side had enough to see the game out and take the win.
