Chatham MP Tracey Crouch has been appointed chairman of a board which raises issues relating to disabled people across Medway.
Set up in 2008, the Medway Physical Disability Partnership Board has played a part in the provision of gym equipment and specialist instructors, wheelchair commissioning, parking bays and blue badge provision.
Tracey said: "The board is an excellent way to scrutinise and hold the accountable for its disabled services.
"It has proven a great success in representing the views of the disabled in the past and I look forward to chair and support the board in the future."
The forum is currently planning a sport disability taster day on Thursday, August 23 at Medway Park from 10am to 4pm.
The board includes representatives from voluntary organisations and NHS Medway.
