A car has caught fire next to a major road.
It was seen on the grass next to the A229 Chatham bound outside the Holiday Inn.
The fire appeared to engulf the front right wheel-arch of the car.
The road was closed while fire crews attended the scene.
A single fire engine was in attendance at around 10am with a hose reel jet to extinguish the flame.
No casualties were reported.
The fire was reported to have been accidental.
Crews worked quickly to put out the flame and were finished by 10.05am.
