500 miles in five days. That's the monumental ride Chatham cyclist Ben Arnett is set to complete in aid of raising money for charity.
Ben, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 13, is raising funds for two charities - The Childs i Foundation and
Diabetes UK.
He is now into day four of his epic ride between all eight of the Blue Sky Fostering offices which span five counties across the south of England.
Accompanied by his girlfriend and Blue Sky worker Sophie Bright, he was waved off on his journey at the agency’s Chatham based offices on Monday morning.
Ben is on a personal mission to raise funds for Diabetes UK and prove that living with the condition does not mean you cannot push yourself to your limits.
The cycle route will finish at Blue Sky’s Basingstoke office on Friday evening.
