Woodland fire at Beaufighter Road in West Malling

A large woodland fire broke out in West Malling last night.

Fire crews were called to Beaufighter Road at 5.50pm where an area measuring 100m by 30m was alight.

They spent more than an hour putting out the blaze and stayed there to damp down the scene.

The cause is not yet known.
