Two people have been arrested in connection with a fire at a house in Maidstone.

A woman in her 30s was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at her home in Wheeler Street on Thursday night.

All three floors of the home in Wheeler Street were damaged by smoke in the blaze, which started at about 11.20pm.

Police have arrested a 55-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman.

The man was taken to Maidstone Hospital to be treated for a head injury.
