Leeds village faces road closures

Forge Lane in Leeds will be closed to traffic from 8am tomorrow (Tuesday) to allow South East Water to carry out repairs.

The road which leads onto the busy B2163 will be blocked close to Applewood until midnight on Wednesday with a diversion via Upper Street, Horseshoes Lane, Back Street, Forge Lane and vice versa.

The B2163 Upper Street will itself be closed from April 6 to April 11.

Upper Street will be closed from outside number 4 Churchill Cottages to outside New House, while Lower Street will be closed in the general vicinity of Oast View, also for works by South East Water.

The alternative route is via Upper Street, Lower Street, Penfold Hill, A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, Leeds Road

and vice versa.
