Lee Browning’s third goal in three games earned Tonbridge a point at Havant in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.

Angels looked to be heading for defeat until Browning popped up at the death to ensure the points were shared.

Tommy Warrilow was able to bring Ollie Schulz back into the side, to partner Sonny Miles in defence, but it was the home side who were the better early-on.

However, the visitors had the best early chance when Frannie Collin played the ball to Chris Piper only for his shot to hit the bar.

They again went close when Havant keeper Dan Thomas was unable to hold a Collin shot, but he recovered sufficiently to prevent the impressive Mikel Suarez from scoring the rebound.

Browning went close with a curling shot from 20 yards, but the home side finished the half stronger as they went close on a couple of occasions.

Havant almost opened the scoring after the break when Scott Jones headed wide from six yards when he should have done better.

But they were then reduced to 10-men after Ollie Palmer received a second yellow card following a tackle on Danny Walder.

Despite having a man advantage, Tonbridge fell behind when Chris Arthur went round keeper Lee Worgan and picked out Christian Nanetti who tucked the ball into an empty net.

Things nearly went from bad to worse for Angels when Steven Ramsey almost added a second, but Worgan denied him with a good save.

Tonbridge were struggling and Havant had a penalty appeal turned down for a foul on Nanetti.

But against the run of play, the visitors managed to get level when Collin's free-kick was only cleared as far as Browning who fired the ball into the corner.

There was still time for another Havant penalty appeal for a foul on Nanetti, but Tonbridge hung on for a point.
