Elderly woman hit by car

An elderly woman has been flown to hospital with life threatening injuries after she was hit by a car.

The pedestrian, who is in her 70s, was struck in Tesco car park, Lunsford Lane, Larkfield, at 11.50am.

A police spokesman said the car was reversing when the incident happened.

The road was closed by Kent Police while the Kent Air Ambulance landed.
