Cross set on fire following Good Friday service

A 7ft wooden cross was set on fire twice following a church service on Good Friday.

The cross was set alight yesterday at 8pm and 8.40pm, following the open air Good Friday church service in the Market Square, Faversham.

Police have arrested a 54-year-old man from Faversham on suspicion of arson. He is currently in police custody.
