Kent fire crews tackled tumble dryer blaze in The Landway, Bearsted

A kitchen has been damaged after a tumble dryer caught alight in a house.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a tumble dryer well alight in the kitchen of a home in The Landway, Bearsted.

Two fire engines attended at around 2.20pm and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and water from a hydrant to put the fire out.

There were no reported injuries and the fire was put out by 3.40pm.
