Firefighters have been battling a blaze at a house in Maidstone, believed to have been started by an electric heater.
The fire, in the living room of the home in Holland Road, was well alight when crews arrived at 2.40pm, a Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said.
Two fire engines rushed to the house and had put the flames out within an hour.
No injuries have been reported and everyone who was in the two-storey building when the fire broke out has been accounted for, the spokesman added.
Firefighters were still at the scene at 5.20pm and the road was still closed to traffic with a diversion in place.
