Healthy-minded schools, businesses and organisations were rewarded for their dedication to Tonbridge and Malling’s well-being scheme.

More than 20 organisations across the borough were presented with certificates to acknowledge their triumphs in the council’s Healthy Eating Awards.

The participants pledged to promote a menu of fruit, vegetables, salad and wholegrains, instead of meals containing high levels of fat, salt and sugar.

The Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Cllr Dave Davis, congratulated all of the winners at a presentation held on Thursday last week, at the council’s offices in Gibson Drive, Kings Hill.

The award recipients include Abbeyfield Kent Society, in Martin Square, Larkfield; Lavenders Residential Home, in Lavenders Road, West Malling; Little Stirrers, in Wrotham Hill Road, Wrotham; Cafe Zest, Larkfield Leisure Centre; TnS Catering, at the Royal British Legion Village, Aylesford; and Sodexo at Kimberly Clark Professional, in Tower View, Kings Hill.

Certificates were also awarded to Wrotham School; Grange Park School, Wrotham; and Borough Green Primary School.
