Spitfires hope for successful away day

ON SUNDAY, Kent travel to Cheltenham in much need of a totesport League win over Gloucestershire.

Spitfires landed victory in the corresponding match at Canterbury back in April courtesy of Mohammad Sami’s two wickets in the final over of the game.

But Sami has returned to Pakistan and Kent will go into the game with two new overseas players, Antipodeans Michael Bevan and Ian Butler, who both look set to play.

With just one win from their last nine starts in all forms of cricket, Kent will need to change the trend in the Royal Spa town if they are not to be drawn into the Division 1 relegation zone.
