Mos coach: New boys have breathed life into side

COACH Kevin Parrish believes the Invicta Dynamos' summer recruits can give the side back its hunger.

New boys Ken Forshee (Swindon Wildcats), Tim Smith (Peterborough Islanders) and Joe Allen (Guildford under-19s) all performed well in the Mos' battling 4-2 Challenge match victory at English Premier League outfit Wightlink Raiders on Sunday.

Player coach Les Millie scored twice for the Raiders, but strikes from AJ Smith (27.05), Forshee (34.27) and a double from Jamie Smith (35.19 and 46.16) gave the Mos an impressive win.

Parrish, determined to banish the memory of last season's late run of defeats, said the introduction of new blood is exactly what his talented squad needed.

"Full praise to the guys. It was a performance full of heart and determination, and showed we could grind out a result," he explained.

"Maybe at the end of last season that wasn't there, and I think the new boys have put some life back into the team."

The Mos' season begins in earnest this weekend, with a double header against Slough Jets in the EPIHL Cup.

They are without Damien Welch and Anthony Lennon (holiday), while Andy Smith (kidney infection) is rated extremely doubtful.
