Late goals sink 10-man Margate

Margate 0 Shrewsbury 2

MARGATE'S poor run in the Nationwide Conference continued on Sunday when they went down to two late goals at the Hoverspeed Stadium.

They also had to play most of the the second half with only 10 men after striker Che Stadhart was dismissed for his 46th minute challenge on Scott Howie.

Shrewsbury should have been ahead by half time but Luke Rodgers blasted his penalty over the bar after Bill Edwards had been penalised for a foul on Sam Aiston.

The visitors eventually broke the deadlock with just seven minutes remaining through Ryan Lowe who fired home after a flick by Jimmy Quinn.

Jody Banim 's long-range effort sealed the points in the final minute.
