Kent v Somerset

KENT will have to lick their wounds and think long and hard over their selection for Sunday's opening C&G Trophy qualifier against Somerset at St Lawrence.

Confidence will have taken a knock after an innings defeat to newly promoted Durham in their first Liverpool Victoria championship match of the campaign.

Seamers Martin Saggers and Matt Dennington will come into consideration for the game, especially after a largely toothless display by the bowling attack against Durham.

Off-spinner James Tredwell and batsman Joe Denly also missed the first four-day encounter and will be pushing for a place from a 13-man squad.

Kent from: Stevens, Dexter, van Jaarsveld, Key, Denly, Walker, Tredwell, Patel, O'Brien, Cook, Dennington, Khan, Saggers.

* Mark Pennell's report will appear here when the match has finished.
