Middlesbrough v Charlton

CHARLTON skipper Luke Young is out of tonight’s FA Cup tie at Middlesbrough, and could miss the rest of the season after damaging ankle ligaments.

He will definitely miss Saturday’s trip to Fulham and Monday’s home game against Portsmouth

If Charlton can beat Middlesbrough in the FA Cup for the first time they will clinch a semi-final showdown against West Ham at Villa Park on Sunday, April 23.

Tonight’s clash will be Charlton’s ninth meeting with Boro in the competition and they have never yet won.

Manager Alan Curbishley said: "Middlesbrough are a classic example of how quickly things can change in football.

"Only a few weeks ago their fans were ranting and raving. One man even threw his season ticket at the dug-out.

"Since then they have beaten Chelsea in the Premier League and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup."

Charlton will receive 18,464 tickets should they reach the semi-finals. Supporters would be accommodated in Villa Park’s Holte End and Doug Ellis Stand.

Tickets would go on sale at the Valley ticket office at 9am on Good Friday, April 14.
