THE search is on for the oldest football team in Kent.

A national campaign to celebrate successful senior citizens has been launched by over-60s energy scheme Staywarm - and they want to hear from the teams with the most years of experience under their belts.

Jean Webb, marketing manager for StayWarm, said: “Through StayWarm, we want to reach out to the Sunday leaguers and older players who have probably been competing in local derbies for decades.”

The winning team in Kent will be awarded a new StayWarm-sponsored kit made up in the team’s colours, while oldest team in the UK will win tickets to see their favourite club compete in this year’s FA Cup.
