Charlton Athletic 1 Middlesbrough 3
CHARLTON'S Premiership survival hopes were dealt a crushing blow as fellow strugglers Middlesbrough came from behind to win on the road for the first time this season on Saturday at The Valley.
Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink, playing against his former club, gave the Addicks the tonic of a 27th minute lead with a spectacular shot from skipper Matt Holland's long pass.
Middlesbrough controversially drew level on the stroke of half-time.
Andy Reid appeared to be fouled by Middlesbrough skipper George Boeteng but referee Mike Dean waved played on and Lee Cattermole beat Scott Carson with a low, angled drive.
Julio Arca gave Middlesbrough a 64th minute lead following a mistake by Hermann Hreidarsson.
They sealed victory in the 68th minute when Ayegbeni Yakubu cut inside Talal El Karkouri before unleashing an unstoppable drive past Carson.
