Would-be robber's knife threat

A 32-year-old man was threatened with a knife when he refused to hand over his wallet and mobile phone to a thug in the street.

The victim managed to defend himself but sustained some small cuts to his hand before the would-be robber eventually ran away.

Police say the incident occurred at around 1.45am on Thursday, August 24, in St Andrews Road, Barming, near Maidstone.

The thug is described as Asian, thought to be aged between 18-23, and of medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded jumper with zip, a dark baseball cap, worn under the hood, and black/dark trousers. He ran off down Heath Road.
