Rugby League side London Broncos are heading to Priestfield this year

London Broncos will stage a one-off match at Gillingham’s Priestfield stadium in May.

The Super League side will head to Kent, as one of two matches away from their regular Stoop venue, for their fixture against Hull.

The Broncos are also staging a match at Leyton Orient’s Brisbane Road.

They head to Priestfield on Sunday, May 20.

This season the rugby league side are relaunching themselves as the London Broncos after playing under the Harlequins banner since 2006, where they formed an alliance with their rugby union landlords.

The club, who have taken part in all 16 seasons of Super League since it started in 1996, have been based at seven different venues around the capital already in their history.

Average home crowds at the Stoop, in Twickenham, last season were 3,131 and they hope by coming to Kent they can reach out to a bigger audience.
