Chatham Town look doomed to finish in the Ryman League Division 1 South drop-zone after a 5-2 drubbing at Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday.

Brad Potter cancelled out a Hamlet opener before the break but the hosts added two goals before Joe Fuller (pictured) gave the Chats hope 12 minutes from time.

However two stoppage-time goals for Dulwich left Chatham effectively nine points from safety with just three games remaining.

Whitstable Town won 2-1 at Eastbourne Town to all-but ensure their Ryman League survival.

Ian Pulman put the visitors ahead with his 22nd goal of the season before the break but despite the hosts levelling in the second-half, Scott Heard scored the winner from the spot after Lloyd Blackman was fouled in the box.

Blackman was then sent-off for dissent 10 minutes from time, but Town held on to go nine points clear of Chatham with a superior goal difference with just three games remaining.

Faversham Town rose to ninth after a 1-0 win over Whyteleafe.

Dean Grant headed the only goal of the game 13 minutes from time, though the Lilywhites were endebted to keeper Rob French for a string of fine saves.

Town are five points behind the last remaining play-off place with three games remaining.
