Robbers slash man's face with knife

A MAN was slashed across the face with a craft knife in a robbery at Margate at the weekend. The 37-year-old victim was set upon in an alleyway between Edgar Road and Athelstan Road at about 3am on Sunday.

Two men in their late 20s or early 30s confronted him, demanded money and cut his face. They escaped with £20.

The injured man was treated at Margate's Queen Mother Hospital.
