A road was blocked when a 4x4 pulling a caravan overturned this afternoon.

The A228 Ratcliffe Highway, near Hoo, in Medway, flipped at just before 1pm.

Emergency services were called to the Rochester-bound carriageway between Bells Lane and Dux Court Road.

It is not believed anyone was seriously injured in the accident.

Police, the ambulance service and firefighters helped adults and children in the Land Rover.

Paramedics were seen treating people at the scene, but it is not thought they were seriously hurt.

A Medway Police spokesman said the road was blocked for a time, but traffic in the other direction was not affected.
