Police appeal after crash

KENT Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the A249 at Detling, near Maidstone, which happened at about 8.35am on Thursday, November 20.

The accident, on the Sittingbourne-bound carriageway, took place at the junction with the Yelstead lay-by. It involved a yellow Renault tipper and a green Skoda Superb.

The tipper was travelling on the Maidstone bound carriageway when it turned right and collided with the Skoda coming the other way.

The driver of the Skoda was taken to Maidstone Hospital following the accident where he received treatment for a broken knee.
