Pair charged after man 'found in boot of car' in Chatham

Two men have been charged with kidnap after another was said to have been forced into the boot of a car.

Jamal Raymon, 38 from Chaucer Road, Gillingham and Stephen James Bates, 31, from Balmoral Road, Gillingham have both been charged with the same offence.

It comes after police were called to Chatham Hill, Chatham at 6.30pm on Thursday after it was alleged a man had been trapped in a car boot.

The two have been remanded in custody, and are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, October 8.
