Whitstable Town manager Justin Luchford has backed his side to put together an unbeaten run to drag themselves away from the Ryman League Division 1 South danger zone.
Saturday’s goalless home draw with in-form Crawley Down was their second-straight clean sheet following the 1-0 win at Sittingbourne, who sit one place and three points ahead of the Oystermen.
Despite taking four points from the two games, Town remain two places outside the drop-zone and Luchford (pictured) has called on them to compile an unbeaten streak to keep his side climbing the table.
He said: "I am not bothered about looking at the table at the moment. We just need to go on a run. I am not expecting too many losses before the end of the season.
"I’m not remotely interested in looking below us, if we can put a run together the table will take care of itself."
Play-off chasing Godalming are next up at the Belmont and Luchford said: "There was a good buzz around the place on Saturday and if we can beat a top-eight side then we would really be buzzing and the confidence would be huge."
Town’s injury-list has shrunk but defender Laurence Harvey (knee) remains doubtful and keeper Jack Smelt (groin) is 50/50, while defender Steven Lloyd might play for the reserves in a bid to regain match-fitness.
