Buying a new car can be difficult at the best of times, but for people with disabilities and their carers, there’s the added complexity of choosing a car that meets your individual needs.

However, for anyone receiving the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement, getting back on the road is easy and affordable with the UK’s Motability scheme.

The scheme offers anyone who receives these benefits the opportunity to drive or be driven in a new car complete with road tax, insurance, servicing, replacement tyres and breakdown cover for three years.

In addition to this, Dagenham Motors in Strood is donating £25 from the sale of every car bought through the Motability scheme to the Help For Heroes charity.

Sean Kavanagh is the company’s Motability specialist and has more than 14 years' experience in selling cars on the scheme.

He said: "This incentive gives us the perfect opportunity to not only help our disabled customers get back on the road, but also to help the brave servicemen and women who have been injured while fighting for this country."

For free advice on the Motability scheme, visit the Dagenham Motors showroom on Ballard Business Park, Cuxton Road, Strood, or call Mr Kavanagh on 01634 496318.
