DETECTIVES hunting a bag snatcher who robbed an 84-year-old woman have released a CCTV image of someone they want to speak to.
The woman had just withdrawn the cash from HSBC in Penge High Street when the attacker struck yards from her front door.
Police believe he followed her on a bus from the bank, before grabbing the bag and injuring her arm and hand at about 1.30pm on Wednesday, July 18.
Inside the bag was the £300 cash, the woman’s house keys and Oyster travel card.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s and about 5ft 10in. He was wearing a blue short-sleeved Budweiser t-shirt, royal blue trousers, a white baseball cap with an England logo and white trainers.
His clothes had white paint on them, which may indicate he was working in the area.
