Police respond to the bomb scare at West Malling station

TWO roads have now re-opened after what is believed to have been a bomb scare at a Kent railway station.

Winterfield Lane and Lucks Hill in West Malling were closed by police after they were called to investigate an unattended holdall found off Lucks Hill near West Malling Railway Station in Swan Street at 1.50pm today.

Trains due to call at West Malling station were diverted to East Malling until the situation was cleared.

West Malling Station re-opened at 4.30pm and all trains were running as normal.
