TERRENCE CHRISTIE: died from natural causes

POLICE officers investigating the last movements of a man found dead on a beach at Upnor, near Rochester, have released his identity.

He was Terrence James Christie, aged 52, who is believed to have come from the Bromley by Bow area of London.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he died from natural causes. His body was discovered on Sunday, January 22.

Police have not yet managed to locate the dead man’s next of kin, although they know that he had a sister in Essex.

Mr Christie was white, about 5ft 8in tall, of thin build, with shoulder-length grey hair and long beard. When found he was wearing a red jacket, grey fleece top, light blue trousers and heavy-duty black boots.

Anyone who saw Mr Christie in the Medway area or anywhere else in the days leading up the discovery of his body is asked to call DS Kerry Rothwell on 01634 884035.
