Keeping ahead of the pensions game

BUSINESSES are being urged by the CBI to prepare for the impact of the forthcoming Pensions Bill as outlined in the chancellor's Budget speech, even though the legislation will not all come into force until April 2006.

To help senior executives, the CBI has teamed up with Kent-based Ashcourt Holdings Plc to host 'Keeping Ahead of the Game'.

The event, to be held on May 20 at the Roffey Park Institute, Horsham, will examine how the Government's plans to simplify the current pensions taxation regimes into one unified system will impact on local businesses.

Nigel Bourne, the CBI's south east regional director, said: "The new changes will impact on the way every company operates its occupational pension scheme.

“The event will focus on what lies ahead and the ways to strategically plan for the new pensions legislation."
