Hythe Town manager Tim Dixon will cast his eye over potential new signings when the club hold their pre-season trial session on Thursday.

Dixon is expecting 40 players at the trial, with Hythe’s under-18 squad joining those looking for a club ahead of the 2014-15 season.

It’s bound to be a mixed bag but Dixon is hopeful the session will feature some players good enough to step into his senior squad.

He said: "A couple are Ryman League standard and they’re not happy where they are. They’re not tied down, so we’ll see where we go from there.

"There are always a good few who try their luck and they’re not quite up to standard but you thank them for coming along."
