Ebbsfleet agree new deal with Myles Weston

Ebbsfleet have retained the services of wideman Myles Weston.

He's the only member of last season's squad to agree a new deal at Stonebridge Road, while striker Gozie Ugwu has made his loan move permanent.

Weston triggered a clause in his contract last season which meant the club had to offer him new terms.

The two other players who were also offered terms under the Fleet's new financial structure rejected them. Midfielder Jack Payne departed for Eastleigh while popular striker Danny Kedwell put pen to paper with Havant on Monday - although he will continue to work at Ebbsfleet's academy.

Weston, 31, joined the Fleet in 2017 from Wycombe and has made 92 appearances, scoring six goals.

Ebbsfleet play their first pre-season fixture on Saturday when they travel to Southern Counties East League side K Sports.
