Stones rolled over by Fleet

Gravesend & N 5 Maidstone 1

GRAVESEND & Northfleet came from behind to register an emphatic win over Kent League champions Maidstone in last night's friendly at Stonebridge Road.

The Fleet, who were looking to bounce back after Saturday's 3-0 defeat by Gillingham, fell behind to a seventh minute goal by Steve Marshall. But two goals in as many minutes by Paul Booth in the 16th and Che Stadhart in the 17th asserted Fleet's authority.

Former Gillingham winger Austin Berkley scored his first goal for the club on the stroke of half time. Second half goals from Liam Hatch in the 61st and 83rd minutes sealed victory for the Fleet.
