England C goalkeeper Preston Edwards has signed a new contract with Ebbsfleet United.

Edwards is one of four players Fleet offered contracts to this week along with Calum Willock, Liam Enver-Marum and Ricky Shakes.

Fleet boss Liam Daish said "I’m really pleased to have Preston back with me. He undertook surgery prior to the end of the season, having played with a niggling injury for much of the season.

"It is really good news that he is making a good recovery and is already back in light training. Preston is a very important member of the squad."

Club chairman Jessica McQueen said: "He is a larger than life character and good to have in and around the club.

"Having him back for another year, together with the three players we have already signed is wonderful."
